Acronis Backup - Resource Hog and Imbedded after Uninstall

I only started using Acronis backup because Western Digital abandoned their own backup software and started using Acronis. I'm guessing Western Digital is losing hardware customers if they force you to use Acronis for backups.

Acronis is a big resource hog - disk, cpu, memory and it noticeably slows down your computer if anything Acronis is running. FYI - there are always Acronis processes running in the background.

I quickly realized Acronis wasn't a product I wanted to use.

I went through the uninstall and delete process for anything called Acronis and I still can't get it completely removed from my laptop.

When I start my laptop and look at system resources, there are still two Acronis processes running in the background that can't be stopped or removed. The two Acronis processes are at the top of the resource hog list when you view system resources.

I would never use Acronis software again, especially since they appear to imbed their products in such a way that normal "uninstall" procedures do not truly get rid of all Acronis processes.

Your website needs feedback from real users

It just works

It just works! The software is unobtrusive gives a piece of mind that my data is securely backed up. I have recovered files that I have archived several years ago or accidentally deleted quite easily. I have recommended Acronis True Image (now Cyber Protect) to family and friends.

If you want problems in restoring - use ACRONIS products

The Products for Bachup/restore/Partitioning of Acronis are most of all time NOT very helpful in case of emercancy where you need a boot disk. In most cases the production of these boot disk NOT work, due to unable to embed correct drivers which make problems to load. You cannot restore by that in case of emergency. Very unsatisfying the many problems to produce embedded driver based boot disks, when you want have Acronis disk direktor and True Image oder Cyber Backup. The boot disk cannot be produced without any problems caused in the booting step. Acronis make their product too difficult produces too much mistake and nobody can help you really by the support. Acronis have too much incompatible products which not fit together. Better you prefere Paragon which work much more easier and with much less problems and include all what you need, At Acronis you must buy many products by extra costs. By that Paragon is cheaper and works more reliably in Partitioning, Restore and Backup.
This is my very long experience with Acronis: Most of all very bad. You loose too much time and money with ACRONIS

Response to the Acronis comment: That is the true Acronis problem I told before. You can add an extra driver, but the boot will not load that driver in most of cases due to it is installed on the boot cd - nobody can help you to solve that error in Acronis products. MOst of all Acronis products not work reliably. And the support is all other than helpful. The support will first use a lot of time to check if Acronis is responsible for the problem and its solving instead of really effective helps. Told the customer to ask the seller, which cannot know more than Acronis. Acronis seems to be overpowered with all their many products which fits NOT together. Instead of produce one product all in -one and which would work 100%. Paragon can do that. Acronis cannot do and do not like to do that because of too few earnings, may be. FORGET Acronis products for all the time.

Licensing a nightmare

The product works mostly fine, but licensing for personal users is a nightmare. If you don't want exactly 1, 3 or 5 PCs you'll need to create a separate account. When you report problems about this and the failure of their system to resolve problems to tech support, they blame you for not reading the terms and conditions. I have never come across such a ludicrous and restrive licensing arrangement before.

Industrial strength solution for the home office

I use Acronis for my home office environment, but it's always felt like the industrial strength products I encounter in my corporate IT job. I use both local and cloud backup options, and together, they provide the security of a complete data recovery capability. The ransomware protection is a reassuring and particularly critical feature these days.

I've used Acronis for years. very satisfied.

I just use the scheduled backups for my C and D drive, about every 2 weeks. In between, if I load a bunch of photos, I run my D drive backup, which is mostly photos, plus some other special stuff. I've used Acronis for years and years. The only trouble I have is that I schedule a back up, no problem, but I also schedule that older versions of the back up get deleted at a certain point. They never delete automatically. Never have, no matter what new version I am using. I have re written the schedule info when Acronis sends a new version.

I am a loyal Acronis buyer/user but very unhappy

I am a loyal Acronis buyer/user going back to True Image 2009. I wish i could get back to those days. l recently had problems with my NEW Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office. Taking up to 20 hours to NOT DO a backup. I asked how much it would cost me to upgrade from 3 computers to 5 computers. The agent on chat told me with "his people" for a discount. Since I am retired and on fixed income I thought that would be a great idea.. He said he would email me on Monday 8/8/22 and let me know.. Monday has come and gone and no email. Meanwhile, Acronis CPHO continues to plaque me with back ups that take forever to tell me data size and time to die and repeat over and over... and it is sooooooooooooo slow to start.. I am seriously considering Revo Uninstalling it and moving over to Macrium or EaseUs Todo... Needless to say I am not a happy camper... ACPHO has caused me over 24 hours of un-necessary stress and from what I last saw is way out of my budget... Thank you

All my data lost in the Acronis Cloud and no solution from the IT department

I am using Acronis now for years and till last year I thought I have an excellent solution !!!! I also purchased 1TB cloud space for all my important data. Since some month I am trying to get my data on a local server but it is not possible at all - some helpfull people tried their best but no success so far and I always have to remind Acronis about the situation !!! Looks like I paid for years to have my data save and now all data are 100% save but not accessable anymore !!!!!! We talk about 800GB data !!!!
